Can I use the responses excel file to refer to image files? (case 26486)

I am using a responses excel file to do some randomization in MediaLab. I would like to use this file to link randomly selected text to specific background images.
Is it possible to place a variable name (i.e. <image1>) in the Background field and then have medialab pull the actual image name (i.e. pica.bmp) from the responses excel file?
