using MediaLab or Direct RT for sound blasts (case 21969)

    Hello,

I am wondering if I can use either MediaLab or Direct RT to incorporate sound blasts in my experiment. Being quite new to MediaLab, I would appreciate any help or direction.

I plan to have participants sample the sound blasts by pressing 7 buttons which will play different sounds associated with each one. Then I plan to have participants continuously press any of the 7 buttons while they respond to a timer/stimuli.

    Thanks in advance,

    Arik

    Hi Arik!

DirectRT would be the program for your needs. You can use it to play sound files and define specific keys for participants to press for a given sound file (see here in the DirectRT manual for more information on this function: http://www.empirisoft.com/directrt/help/directrt_samples_of11_play_sounds.htm)
