Difference btw Reaction Time and Timestamp. (case 18891)
Hello :)
I got the fill-in-the blank data by 'writing RT' and using 'Timestamp (@)' between two questions.
When I read the Help documentation, "response times is the time the subject continues to the next item,
and in Timestamp.csv, it includes the subject id, the variable name, the time at which the item *started* (e.g., 12:23:22), the milliseconds elapsed from the beginning of the experiment and the milliseconds passed since the last timestamp".
I didn't get the difference btw RT and "the milliseconds passed since the last timestamp".
Numbers are slightly different. (e.g., RT=4490; milliseconds passed since the last timestamp=4880)
Can I get more information regarding Reaction Time and Timestamp?

Did you get the reaction time and timestamp both from MediaLab?

The reaction times are the amount of time MediaLab records from the beginning of the opportunity to answer unitl the time a valid response is recorded for that item (i.e., appropriate answer choice button selected for a scale repsonse item; pressing of the return key for an essay item). The information in the timestamp.csv file shows when items that use the @ parameter in the .que file are first presented.
