Trouble with requiring correct responses (case 18131)

Trouble with requiring correct responses (case 18131)

    Hello again!

I'm having trouble requiring correct responses for my dot probe task. When the dot disappears, DirectRT is requiring subjects to respond before advancing to the next trial, but it does not require a correct response. Also, the "X" is not displaying, so there is no indication that the key press is wrong other than not advancing to the next trial. The correct/incorrect initial key press is recorded in my data file.

So far, I have tried using different styles and lifting the "incorrect" file directly from the priming sample. The priming sample does run correctly on my computer. If I provide an incorrect response, it will not move on. The issue seems to be specific to my own input file.

Attached is my input file and my "incorrect" text file (which is located in my Stim folder). The min/max value for the style "incorrect" uses is set to 0. I am using DirectRT version 2012.4.0.160.

    Thank you!

    Erin

Please send me the rest of your stim materials and your styles.drt file. I'd like to see if I can replicate the error using all of your files. You can either upload them here or send them to me at support@empirisoft.com.

    Erin,

Please try moving the incorrect.txt folder from the Stim folder to the same folder as your .csv input file. Let me know if this fixes things.

    Jason,

I was just about to send you the files, but moving the incorrect text file fixed the problem! Thank you so much!
