skipping to a specific DirectRT file based on previous response (case 16309)

    Hi,
I?d appreciate you helping me figure out if the following can be pulled off:

Step 1: subjects enter their gender (for example, male = 1 female = 2, either in media lab or directRT)
Step 2: subjects write an essay in media lab
Step 3: when completing the essay - based on their response in step 1, subjects are directed to one of two files in directRT (i.e., males are directed to one file, and females to another file).

I know how to create a questionnaire in media lab that embeds a directRT file, but I?m not sure how to instruct media lab to select a certain directRT file based on previous response.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi there,
I have another related question just to complicate things a bit -
I want participants to indicate their gender, then skip to either a male/female practice DirectRT file, then write a male/female essay in MediaLab and then skip to another male/female DirectRT file.
I tried following your previous suggestion in implementing this, but it does not work - for the first DirectRT instance I get an error message of technical issues, and for the second instance I get a message of "DirectRT is already running".

Attaching my failed attempt que file.

    Thanks for your help
