setting max response time for open-ended response (case 12479)

Hi,
I am trying to set up trials where participants have to enter an open-ended response (solution to anagram), but only have a limited amount of time (4seconds) to do so. I use rt:text as the time for my open-ended response, and set a min-max value of 0-4000 in the style file, but it is not working. Any suggestions for how to fix this?

Add an ! after the 4000 in the MinMax field of that line of your Styles file (it will be 0-4000!) to tell DirectRT to automatically continue to the next trial once 4000 ms has passed.

Thank you for your quick response, I should have specified, I did have the ! in there already (it was 100-4000!), and it is not working.
