Content in thought listing response boxes (case 7723)

Hi, I was wondering if it was possible, in the thought listing option, for me to have some content already in the response boxes when the participants get to that page. Specifically, I'm having participants list 3 thoughts that complete the sentence "things might have gone better if only I...", and so I was wondering if I could have this sentence prompt already be written into each of the thought listing response boxes and all they have to do is write the rest.

Hi scmlab.

I don't think MediaLab currently has any way of putting text in the repsonse box for thought listing. If you wanted to use the thought listing item, I think the closest thing to your original question would be to put the answer stem in the regular question wording box.

If you really wanted the question stem in the response box without creating a custom item, you could play around with the m parameter of the fill in the blank item type. So if I wanted to have the stem "I am" show up in the box, I would use mIam************ with however many asterisks as I wanted for individual boxes. Of course, I could understand that this may not look or function ideally; this is just the first alternative that came to mind in terms of using an item type to put text in the response box.
