sound at the same time as multiple word stim (case 5275)

Hi

I am running a study that requires participants to complete a serial recall task as they listen to an audio file

the audio lasts for 20 seconds and needs to be played over 8 single numbers (1 seconds each) with a short interval between each (250msec).

Is it possible for the complete audio file to be played over each different stim?

Hi,

Sounds like you may want to try the compound screen feature of DRT. If I'm reading your design right, the sound will play over eight digits that are visually presented for a specific period of time, disappear and nothing is displayed for a period of time, and then a second number is presented, and the pattern repeats and the participant responds with the serial order of the numbers at the end.

If that's the case, start with your audio file and don't clear it as you proceed through the rest of the trials (it becomes the background). There's a tutorial with your DRT that you may be able to modify to help you with this.

If you give it a try and still run into trouble, post your input file and the sound file so other users and try it out to help.
