    Direct RT won't run on laptop (case 3981)



    Hi,
    I've put together my experiement for uni research project on Direct RT.
    It runs and records data perfectly fine on the Uni computer... today I got given a laptop from the Uni to use when I go out to test participants and Direct RT doesn't work!!!

    I select the input file, and it just does nothing...

    Anyone have any advice?
    Oh and both the Uni and laptop version are v2012

    Do the DirectRT samples run on the laptop?

    Hi,

    Yes they do, it's just my experiement that won't run!

    Any ideas?
    Everytime I run mine it just does nothing, and when I use task manager to close Direct RT an error report from windows comes up!

    Can you compare the version releases on the machine that works and the one that doesn't? Are they the same? If they are, can you attach a copy of your csv and style file here?

    I also encountered the same problem that the file cannot work in my laptop, but can work in a desktop. The files are the same. Is there any problem with compability?

    Same here! I think this is one of the major problems on files that works on laptops and desktops. Compatibility really is an issue here.

    Hello Rawhinitipo!

    Exactly what happens when you try to run your file on the laptop with DirectRT? Do any error messages appear? If so, what do they say? What do you see on the screen?

    Can you run files from the Samples folder that comes with the DirectRT file folder?

    Please also tell me the full version number (i.e., 20xx.x.xxx) of your copy of DirectRT on the laptop and the desktop. You can find it by opening DirectRT and selecting Help>About DirectRT from the main menu bar.
