Voice Response Setup Error (case 454)

Voice Response Setup Error (case 454)

    Hi,

I'm trying to use the Voice Response Setup to calibrate my USB microphone (which does not require any drivers to install) but leads me to an error. The error named Project1 states "Component 'SLMixerPro.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is either missing or invalid". I have tried running experiments to see if it would record responses anyway, but does not show RTs nor save sound files.

Do you have any idea of what this means or have a solution?

Are you doing the setup from within DirectRT or MediaLab--and from which version, i.e., 20xx.x.x?

    I am using DirectRT, v2012.4.145

I am having the same issue... I am runing Version 2012.4.0.151 Did you ever find out the fix?

Yes, we found the fix. You can either install the updated 2012.4.152 (or later version) or manually register the slmixerpro.ocx file by running the command on the Windows Start menu. If you don't see a Run command, try pasting it into the Start menu where it says "Search Programs and Files" and then pressing enter.

    regsvr32 "c:\Windows\SysWOW64\SLMixerPro.ocx"

Where the path of the slmixerpro.ocx file may vary depending on where it is on your system. Again though if you run the v2012.4.152 release package from the main download page that ought to fix the issue without having to do the manual registration.

Note that DirectRT v2012.4.152 was posted as of Monday, Aug 13, 2012. Should fix this issue.
