Quickstyles & Custom Items

The manual suggests that quickstyles can be applied to the html files used in custom items by inserting a <ml.$> in the html file. All this seems to do is display the quickstyle file name on the question.

Also, if I use an html file as the Backimg to format the questionnaire wording will it accept variables from the response.xls file? I need to have the question include values from response.xls & also be formatted.

The ml.$ function simply returns the name of the quickstyle in case you want that for some reason. To access the font and colour info for the current item, you need to use the font and colour functions listed in the same table.

HTML backgrounds currently can not accept variables the way custom items do, but it's a great idea!
