Can DirectIn keyboard PC board be purchased on its own?

Can DirectIn keyboard PC board be purchased on its own?

    Hi,

I have a potential client at the University of Utah who is needing a custom user interface with a few buttons and a joystick as the interface. The device needs to appear strictly as a standard USB keyboard, but with quick key response. Your fast-responding keyboard looks ideal, but of course I don't need the keyboard itself. Would it be possible to buy one of the PC boards you use in your DirectIn keyboards and a pinout map of the board? Thanks, hope to hear from you soon.

Our regular DirectIN button box controller card can handle up to 18 contact-closure inputs. Unfortunately, it's not set up to accept analog signals, such as from a joystick.

What if the joystick were modified such that it could send discrete signals at defined points along its possible paths?

PS, and yes, sort of just trying to annoy our dear Mr. Chapman here who is a hardware engineer talented like no other and can make *anything* happen given enough time and energy. Sadly of course those quantities (i.e., of time and energy) can be LOTS and LOTS, respectively. But a possible/hypothetical solution natheless--non, oui?

PPS, link provided by me not knowing if none/nevertheless was one word. Natheless deemed way cooler than sticking three independent words together. Humble opinions always available at noextracharge --the editor
