Currently MediaLab allows for the ranking of only 12 items in a question.
I might suggest increasing that amount. Anyone who wants to use a rank-order question with more than 12 options (such as me with 24) can't use MediaLab for this.

How well do you know HTML and java? If reasonably well, then I have a version of a custom ranking item I've been working on that's all HTML/Java based and it would allow you to use 24 items (or more!). Needs some tweaking but it's very close--I just haven't had time to finish it. Care to try?

Sure. Here is the start of it. It's not well documented but if you can work it out, it would certainly make a fun and powerful custom item! Let me know if you run into any trouble with it.
