upgrading to beta v2010 to enable web studies

    Hi there:

What is the cost for upgrading to the beta 2010 version of MediaLab and/or Direct RT?

We have a v2008 license for both, but want to run a study online and believe this requires the beta 2010?

    Also, can you confirm:

    1. That the web experiments run on both pcs and intel-based macs?
    2. Is the beta version of the web-based platform proving relatively stable?

    Thanks!

We have made the decision to postpone online functionality in both programs because of logistical issues. This postponement could be short or it could be indefinite depending on how some required technology evolves in the coming year. We will post more about this shortly but for the time being we are informing users that both programs will remain primarily for use in the lab.

With regard to upgrading, DirectRT v2010 is actually no longer in beta and has been officially released as v2010.125.831.10. It's not yet been posted on the website but it will be this week. MediaLab v2010 will follow in the next couple of weeks. Pricing for upgrades will be the same as it has been in the past (see www.empirisoft.com/order.aspx).
