nonrefreshing background screen and stimlist

Hi,
I would like to have a background screen that does not refresh and only changes the randomly selected words in the center of the screen. I have got the screen to stop refreshing yet the words are not selected randomly. I have attached my .csv file

What do you mean it's not selecting them randomly? What is it doing instead? How many items do you have in your stim lists? Note youy can also reduce the inter trial interval in your style (.drt) file from 1000ms to about 100ms in most cases--that's another way to reduce the gap between trials. Be sure to read the section on the manual though regarding the inter trial interval--e.g., in most cases, you shouldn't set it to 0.
