Trying to record STRTs while people surf online.
I'd like to run a study in which participants freely surf the web. During their surfing, I'd like to send a series of randomly timed visual STRT probes. I've tried to do this in a MediaLab questionnaire file, with an HTML event followed by a DirectRT event that references a .csv file containing my probe sequence. This doesn't seem to work, as the probes are not embedded beneath the HTML event. Can anyone tell me if what I'm trying to do is possible with MediaLab/DirectRT? Any advice appreciated.
Take a look at this thread on using probes within a MediaLab session and see if it helps. Searching the MediaLab forums on "probe*" will also turn up some additional info. Also, using the WebTracker item type would allow you to simultaneously track their web browsing activity while administering the probes--just a thought!
