[v2004] MediaLab to DirectRT Freeze

I've created an experiment file in which MediaLab is instructed to communicate with DirectRT such that a MediaLab instruction page is first presented, then a DirectRT stimulus is presented, and then a fill-in-the-blank MediaLab question is asked. However, MediaLab is freezing when it attempts to initiate DirectRT - DirectRT never starts and MediaLab remains frozen on a blank purple screen. I've tried creating a simple 3-item questionnaire to see what's going on (MediaLab instruction, DirectRT file, MediaLab instruction), and the problem occurs with that file as well. Any suggestions as to what might be occurring? I'm running MediaLab v2004.3.0.24 and DirectRT v2004.3.0.25.

Sometimes when a file within the current experiment's directory is being accessed by another program, MediaLab and DirectRT will not be able to run properly.
Hopefully this solves the problem.
