DIRECTRT ALWAYS asks for data overwritting
We are conducting an experiment using your software. Specifically the experiment starts with MediaLab and then DirectRT takers over for several parts. We are using 6 participant computers.
When DirectRT takes over we get the following message in all computers:
Data file s:\Friend study\DirectRt\Data\Painting1 ... 5 secs\ ... csv already exists. Data from this session will replace existing data. Is this what you want?
Previously, when this kind of error message appeared, it meant that we had accidentally entered the same participant number twice. Now it shows the same message systematically no matter the participant number we enter and on all computers. We have rebooted the computers and checked the server. The error message is still there.
We have deleted the DirectRT data folder, and the experiment was running again normally for 2 hours. Then bugged again as described above.
I cannot attach experimental files as they are too big.
Thanks for a quick reply!!
Under the menu 'Tools' do you have the overwrite warning enabled? If so, deselect it and try running your experiments again.
Tell me if that works.
Hi,
thanks, this works. However we were hoping for a more permanent solution, which would solve the problem in case we need the directrt data in future experiments.
Thanks again!
Hi again,
no this does not help.
The problem persists even with the newest directrt version and the assigned numbers are 3-digits max.
Hm. I see.
I'll look into this issue further and see what I can find.
