Experiment freezes after Movie is played (case 31060)

If I want to show a movie threw the item type "movie", I run into problems.

The experiment works as intendet and shows the movie clip in its full length (30 seconds). After the Video is played I only get a black screen where the video has been and the experiment doesn't go on.

I tried movie files as .avi and .wmv. I replicated the error on another computer.

I tried using the duration parameter, but it did not change anything, neither the length of the shown video nor the continuation of the experiment.

If I use the same video as a background video threw the "instruction" item type, it works as intended. But I need to alternate the size of the movie, so it would be very handy to be able to use the "movie" item type.

I did not find anything regarding this problem threw the manual.

I would be really glad if you can show me a way to make this work.

Please send a copy of the video file and the .que file to support@empirisoft.com (reference case 31060). I would like to see if I can replicate this problem on my copy of MediaLab.

Please also clarify what you mean when you say you are trying to change the size of the video.

I sent you the questionaire and the video files.

By changing the size of the video, I mean that I do not want it to play fullscreen. By using the Movie item type I can use the parameter w-2 to reduce the size, but I don't think that I can do this when I use the background video feature.

Try to specify the location of the background video using parameter values by typing MOVIE_1 (w-2) in the background field of the instruction item type and see if that works.
