Problems with rights to DirectRT
I am currently attempting to use DirectRT to present video stimuli while collecting gaze data with eye-tracking software (ASL 6000, Eyenal). In order to analyze the data, I need to send event markers from DirectRT, through the parallel port, to Eyenal. However, I cannot access the parallel port through DirectRT on my stimulus computer. My input file is functioning as needed, as I have run it from another computer with DirectRT and was able to send ttl signals to EEG equipment.
I am using the stimulus computer as a Power User and I have full rights to the DirectRT folder on the C drive. When I attempt to run the TTL I/O test, I continue to get "LPT1:Error" (for LPT1, 2, and 3). When logged into the computer as an Administrator, instead of the Error message I get "888 (LPT1:378H)".
Can anyone advise me as to how I get the appropriate rights/change the rights settings in order to write to the parallel port?

In some cases you may need admin rights (global) for certain system configurations in order that the TTL signals can be sent. I'll send a link to this thread to our hardware engineer so he can chime in if I'm wrong.
