for all subjects with a session number that is an even number (e.g., 2, 4, 6, etc) the ‘same’ response button should be on the far left and the ‘different’ response button should be on the far right. For all subjects with a session

number that is an odd number (e.g., 1,3,5,etc) the reverse should apply so that the ‘same’ response button is the button on the far right and the ‘different’ response button should be on the far left

is this possible in directrt?

changing the value of a response based on what session id

ie if using z and m z= positive and m = negative response
could i change the value of the response based on another varible ie the session id

Session or condition IDs in DirectRT are for description purposes only at this point. You can't use that value to create contingencies within an input file. What you could normally do in a situation like this is to create two different versions of the input file and administer them accordingly.
