"This is not a direct RT input file" (case 28540)
Hi all,
I'm using direct RT for the first time and having some issues loading my csv. file into direct RT. Whenever I open the program and click file --> select and run input file, and then select my csv, I get the error message that "this does not appear to be a direct RT input file".
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I've triple checked that it's indeed a proper csv file and have also tried making a new file.
I've also played around with the path of the file. Originally, I had a folder on my desktop with the csv file and stim folder inside. I tried moving both around to my documents, the same folder as direct RT, etc. Nothing works.
Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong?

Your file does not have all of the columns required to run it in DirectRT. You are missing all of the columns that need to come before the first stim column, namely (in order from left to right in the .csv input file) block, trial, bgr, wgr, and style.
For an example of the columns you need and their order, take a look at the file named "input template.csv" in the DirectRT file folder.
Thank you - I was originally following instructions from a youtube video on creating an input file, but I guess it was old because it did not include those columns.
Now my problem is that direct RT accepts the file, but the screen stays black and nothing runs. Then it ends. It creates a data file and everything as if it worked, but nothing actually shows up. Any idea what could be causing this?
