display subject's essay entry in a subsequent question

Hello,

I am running an experiment where I first ask subjects to write a paragraph about a past event. Later on in the same experiment, I want to present to them the paragraph they wrote at the beginning of the study (as a reminder of what they have written). Also, I want to limit their writing to between 150-200 word counts. How can I do these two things in Medialab? I am using Medialab v2004.

Probably easiest way (given you are using v2004) would be to use fill in the blanks (large, multi-line) and then insert the response later on using the variable name like . Excel and SPSS may not store the full responses but you can access them (see links below) and with the FITB item format you can limit the number of characters they enter.
