using previous response in text file
I am wondering if we can use a participant's previous response in a text file. For example, if we ask the open ended question "what is your best friend's name?" is there any way that Drt can insert that response into a premade text file? basically we want the participant's response from one trial to be automatically inserted in a pre-created vignette that the participant will read in a later trail. Can I even do this? and if so, how??
Yeah, I've already checked that - what we need to be able to do is have a participant's one-word response (i.e. "what is your romantic partner's name?" example open-ended answer: "Sam") appear in a subsequent trial:
Basically we want this name to appear in a pre-written senario (i.e. You will now be interviewing a job candidate name SAM ). I don't know if there is anyway to write a text file in which the program will automatically fill in a "blank" with a previous response...
This would be a breeze in MediaLab--do you have access to that?
We do have MediaLab - Several people told me I couldn't do this in MediaLab, which is why I've been trying to do it in Drt! I'll check out the MediaLab Manual. Thanks!
