Online Rating with Audio Files

Hey there--
I'm trying to use the on-line rating function for rating audio files.
We've used it successfully with video files before.
But, when I simply replace what used to be the "movie" with a "sound file" in the line that follows the on-line ratings, it never ends the questionnaire. Just keeps the slider on the screen forever and (since the arrows are being used) I have to hard-reset my computer to get out of it.

Any ideas.

I haven't heard of this before. Can you try using another item type (such an instruction item) and playing the same sound file in the background (aka a backsound).

thanks for getting back to me.
i'm befuddled about this.
Playing the same audio file worked as a backsound with Instructions.

I had the same "lock up" happen using CRM when using different audio files...so I doubt it's the particular track.

Also, had it lock up on different computers, too. So, I don't think it's a hardware issue.

I'm guessing it's some bug with the "Sound" item type. Don't know off hand what it could be. Is it possible for you to continue using the alternate item type with the sound file as a backsound?

I came across this bug while prepping Media Lab for a class demonstration. So, no worries for now.

Being someone who uses radio messages as stimuli, though, I would love it if this bug were to get fixed in the near future so I can get some CRM data if I need to.
